Sometimes when I sit for a long time, I feel back pain, so I always like to pinch and press it casually. After a while, the pain goes away. Therefore, many men also think that the prostate is a little uncomfortable, so they press it themselves, but they still feel uncomfortable after pressing, and sometimes the pain is even worse. What’s going on? Does it need prostate massage ?

Why does prostate massage fail to achieve the desired effect?

    1. The prostate is located deep

The prostate is located below the bladder, relatively deep. The organs, bones, and cortex around it are like a circle that encloses it. Normal massage techniques only apply force on the surface of the body, and the focus is not on the prostate, so it is difficult to have a massage effect on it.

    2. Frequent massage and improper techniques

Massage itself is only a health care method, and its therapeutic effect is very slow. Some people, in order to see the effect as soon as possible, constantly massage the prostate or use inadequate massage techniques. This method is not only difficult to produce therapeutic effects, but may also damage the surface muscle tissue, which is not conducive to the recovery of prostate disease.

    3. Chronic inflammation should not be pressed

There is chronic inflammation in the prostate area. This type of inflammation is usually caused by fibrosis or calcification of the gland that stimulates the prostate. At this time, massaging the prostate may accelerate the spread of inflammation and make the gland further rigid and dead, so the condition will become more serious the more you press it.

What problems may arise from casual massage?

    1. The root of the disease is deep

Some prostate inflammations are cause by retention. When the prostate is press, the inflammatory secretions cause by the retention may be press into the interior of the prostate, causing the inflammation to spread inside the gland, thereby aggravating the prostatitis.

    2. Formation of inflammatory nodules

The body’s immune system will produce an immune response to chronic inflammation, and in the process of repairing inflammation, it is difficult for the immune system to save the dead cells, so there will usually be scars at the site of inflammation. If this scar is not stimulate, it can gradually heal through the metabolic renewal process of the cells. However, frequent massage at this time will constantly stimulate the scar location, causing the cells at the scar location to continue to proliferate, and eventually form a nodule.

    3. Aggravation of stones or calcification

Repeated improper massage is likely to cause recurrent inflammation, which will cause calcium salt precipitation in local tissues and form stones. Continuing to press at this time will not only fail to relieve inflammation, but may also cause the stones to scratch the prostate.

Due to the special location of the prostate, not only is it difficult to use medication, but physical therapy is also quite troublesome. You are just an ordinary patient and have no special professional nursing experience. Therefore, when you suffer from prostate disease, do not be afraid to see a doctor. You must go to a professional physical therapy institution or hospital to seek treatment
