Some people have serious oily hair, which can cause a lot of trouble in daily life. Many people want to solve the problem by washing their hair every day, but this is not effective. Washing your hair every day can solve the problem of greasy hair to a certain extent, but if you wash your hair too frequently, it will make your hair lack oil, and it will be easy for the scalp to secrete more oil to form a protective layer, which will make your hair oilier. So what should you do?

    Learn about oily hair

    1. Oily hair is caused by vigorous secretion of sebaceous glands. This kind of hair has strong anti-erosion ability, but not enough elasticity. Because oily hair has more oil, it is not conducive to hair growth. Over time, it is easy to cause seborrheic alopecia. Because the hair is greasy, oil and dirt will appear at the roots of the hair on the first day after washing the hair. The scalp is like thick scales accumulated at the roots of the hair, which can easily cause itchy scalp.

    2. Excessive sebum secretion is mainly related to hormone disorders, genetics, mental stress, hot and humid air, excessive combing and frequent consumption of high-fat foods. These factors can increase oil secretion and make hair greasy. People with fine hair are more likely to have oily hair. This is because the circumference of each fine hair is smaller, so there are more hair follicles per unit area, and the sebaceous glands also increase, so the secretion of sebum will increase accordingly.

Oily hair is prone to dust and other dirt. Excessive oil secretion can easily clog the pores of the head skin, causing itching and dandruff, so it needs to be taken care of with extra care.

    1. Wash your hair properly to keep it fresh and clean

When washing your hair, do not use too hot water to avoid stimulating the oil secretion of the scalp. During the care process, you can use tea to adjust the oil and water balance of your hair. After steaming or washing your hair, apply a conditioner made of chrysanthemum tea, coconut milk, tea seed oil, etc. on your hair, or wash your hair directly with tea. After rinsing out the shampoo, wash it once with boiled strong tea, rub it for about 15 minutes, and then wash it with water, but do not let the strong tea adhere to your hair. A period of time, the greasy condition of your hair can be improved, and at the same time, your hair can be moisturized and smooth.

    2. Precautions when using conditioner

For oily hair, using hair care products will make the scalp very oily, so when using conditioner, it is best to use one with shrinking function, and it should be placed only on the ends of the hair to avoid contact with the surface of the scalp. This will not only moisturize the dry hair, but also prevent the scalp from being too greasy. It is better to choose one with shrinking effect, which will help shrink the pores of the scalp and reduce sebum secretion.

Finally, you can dilute the vinegar in a basin of warm water and use it to rinse your hair. This can reduce oil and make your hair more shiny.

    3. Eat a balanced diet

People with oily hair should eat less greasy food and more alkaline food. In terms of diet, they should pay attention to drinking more water and eating more fresh green vegetables. Low-fat and high-protein meat dishes are preferred, such as fish and chicken. In addition, they should drink some warm mint tea after meals, insist on eating 2 fresh fruits every day, and take a small amount of vitamin E and yeast tablets. Drink more water and green tea every day. This can not only replenish the water needed by the body, but also help regulate oil secretion and anti-oxidation.

Due to the characteristics of oily hair, you should pay extra attention when washing it.

    1. When washing your hair, use your fingertips to gently massage. If you encounter dirty or itchy areas, use a little more force. But be careful, scratching the scalp with your fingernails can easily cause inflammation of the hair follicles.

    2. Avoid pouring shampoo directly onto the scalp, as this will cause excessive concentration in the area, making it difficult to wash off and damaging the scalp over time.

Since hot water has a strong dissolving power, many people like to use hot water to rinse their hair. If you are worried about shampoo residue, you may want to rinse it with warm water several times.

    3. Oily hair should be wash every other day. If you need to wash your hair every day, you should choose a mild shampoo.

In addition to proper shampooing, daily care is more important for oily hair.

    1. Always maintain a good mental state and avoid depression, nervousness and large fluctuations in emotions

    2. Have a regular daily life, get enough sleep, and participate in sports and entertainment appropriately.

    3. Pay attention to nutritional balance, strictly limit the intake of fatty foods, avoid eating irritating foods such as peppers, onions, ginger, garlic, wine, etc., but eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and seaweed foods

    4. Use warm water when washing your hair and avoid scratching your hair with your hands, because scratching your hair can accelerate the secretion of sebaceous glands. If your scalp is itchy, you can apply anti-itching lotion with a cotton swab after washing your hair.

    5. Do not use shampoos that are advertise as too strong. Use special oil-balancing shampoo products. At the same time, you can apply oil-removing and balancing conditioners. Conditioners should only be appy to the ends of the hair, not on the scalp.
