The polysaccharide in cicada fungus is a natural substance that can accelerate the metabolism and regeneration of body cells. It can reduce the damage of viruses to human cells and also increase the activity of human phagocytes . After people eat it, their body’s disease resistance will be significantly increased.

    Regulation of the nervous system

Cicada fungus has a significant effect on the human nervous system. It provide a calming and soothing effect, and is particularly effective in treating insomnia. Furthermore, its extract can be used to treat various pain conditions, particularly those caused by irritants like burns and scalds.

    Antipyretic and analgesic effects

When cicada fungus is use together with central nervous system depressants or central nervous system stimulants. It exhibits synergistic or antagonistic effects, respectively. Which is consistent with its traditional use in traditional Chinese medicine to calm nerves and convulsions.

    Improve kidney function

Cordyceps sinensis has the functions of lowering blood and urine creatinine, increasing endogenous creatinine clearance, improving serum protein content, reducing urinary protein excretion, lowering urea nitrogen levels, promoting protein synthesis, and correcting negative nitrogen balance. Cordyceps sinensis has a good effect on renal interstitial tubular lesions , protecting renal tubular cell Na-K-ATPase , reducing cytolytic and cellular lipid peroxidation damage, improving renal hemodynamics, and reducing endothelial cell damage and blood coagulability.

Promote the function of the hematopoietic system

Through experiments, it was found that the water extract of the mycelium of Paecilomyces cicadae can not only increase the serum total protein, globulin content, and white blood cell count, but also reduce the decrease in hemoglobin, serum total protein, globulin content, and white blood cell count caused by the immunosuppressant cyclophosphamide. It can antagonize the bone marrow suppressive effect of cyclophosphamide to a certain extent and has the effect of promoting bone marrow hematopoiesis.

Nourishing and strengthening, anti-fatigue, anti-stress, hypoxia resistance, and high temperature resistance

Lowering blood pressure and blood sugar

The adenosine in cicada fungus can lower blood pressure and slow heart rate. It can also speed up blood flow and soften blood vessels, which has a good preventive and relief effect on high blood pressure and high blood lipids.

    Anti-tumor effect

Golden cicada flower can enhance immune function, and must be able to directly or indirectly phagocytize or inhibit tumor cells, showing its anti-tumor effect.

    Nourish the body

This is one of the important functions of cicada fungus. It contains a variety of amino acids and natural polysaccharides, as well as mannitol and a variety of trace elements. After people eat it, it can protect the kidneys and bones and protect the liver. Regular consumption will improve physical fitness and play an obvious nourishing role.

    Improve liver function

Through the experiment, the degeneration, swelling and inflammatory cell infiltration of liver cells in the low, medium and high dose groups of Cordyceps sinensis polysaccharide were alleviated to varying degrees, the liver lobule structure was restored, and the pathological scores showed a significant downward trend (2.84±0.42), (2.47±0.38), (2.18±0.33) points (P<0.05), indicating that Cordyceps sinensis polysaccharide has a certain protective effect on D-Gla N-induced liver damage, and is drug concentration-dependent.
