If you find that your blood pressure is high, take antihypertensive drugs immediately. On the one hand, you should avoid developing low blood pressure. On the other hand, all drugs have potential side effects. Taking drugs is not a last resort.

Today we want to remind you of these 5 types of high blood pressure. Don’t rush to take antihypertensive drugs immediately. It is more reasonable to deal with them first:

    Blood Pressure
    Blood Pressure

    1. New-onset stage 1 hypertension

If it is newly discovered stage 1 hypertension, that is, hypertension that does not exceed 160/100mmHg, and there are no symptoms, no cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and no diabetes, then the ” Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension recommends that you do not take medicine first, and control your blood pressure through healthy living, that is, what we call managing the six horses (healthy diet, regular activities, weight control, no more staying up late, original research, and a good attitude), and observe for 3-6 months. If the blood pressure drops, continue to manage the six horses; if the blood pressure is still above 140/90mmHg, then consider whether to take drugs to lower blood pressure.

    2. High blood pressure after emotional fluctuations

After a big emotional fluctuation such as being angry, quarreling, anxious, etc., you feel uncomfortable and take a blood pressure test and find that it is high. This is probably the high blood pressure cause by emotional fluctuations. Adjust your mood and continue to observe. If you calm down and your blood pressure returns to normal, it means that this is not high blood pressure, but high blood pressure caused by emotional fluctuations. Pay attention to managing your emotions in the future and there is no need to take medicine.

    3. High blood pressure after insomnia or staying up late

If you often suffer from insomnia or stay up late, your blood pressure will be high the next day. If you don’t stay up late or the insomnia problem is solve, your blood pressure will not be high. This kind of high blood pressure is not hypertension. Improving sleep is the key, not taking antihypertensive drugs immediately.

    4. High blood pressure caused by drugs

If the high blood pressure is cause by a certain drug, and if the drug does not need to be take for a long time. The blood pressure will return to normal after stopping the drug, so there is no need to take antihypertensive drugs immediately.

    5. Transient high blood pressure

High blood pressure does not mean hypertension; sometimes high blood pressure is only transient and only lasts for a while, but blood pressure is not high at ordinary times, so naturally you cannot take antihypertensive drugs casually.

Think about the above situations, whether it is mood swings, insomnia, staying up late, drug-induced, or transient hypertension; if you take antihypertensive drugs, in most cases your blood pressure is not high, then it may cause low blood pressure after taking it.

Therefore, if you find that your blood pressure is high, you should first find out whether it is hypertension, instead of rushing to take medicine immediately, so as to avoid causing dangerous low blood pressure.

    Antihypertensive
    Antihypertensive

Of course, this does not mean that you do not need to take medicine for high blood pressure. What it means is that when you find that your blood pressure is high, you must find out the cause and figure it out, instead of taking medicine in a hurry. However, for clear high blood pressure that cannot be improve by lifestyle, you must take antihypertensive drugs for a long time under the guidance of a doctor to control your blood pressure.

In short, high blood pressure is dangerous in the long term and can cause damage to the heart, brain and kidneys, so we must control our blood pressure!
